Meet the Scientist

After completing an honours degree in 2016, Nick Bradsworth is currently a PhD student at Deakin University studying the movement ecology of Australia's largest owl species, the powerful owl.

Nick's research has helped shaped the learning modules which students will learn about the ecology of organisms as well the impacts that urbanisation is having on the owls food interactions and roosting places.

The Research

Nick is hoping to enact real world change through his research by identifying where and when the owls are moving in order to protect both the owls and their roosting areas. The video tells you more about what Nick hopes to achieve through his research.
